Blind flanges are used to in between two flanges so as to block the flow through the pipe. This is done to include another pipeline to the existing system or repair pipelines. It also ensure that no spillage is caused due to accidental valve opening. The use of blind flange has improved the construction of pipelines across industries as it is much easier for repairs and replacements. They are available with raised face, RTJ face or flat face. They are mainly used for high pressure applications such as water pipelines, petrochemicals, fuel pipelines etc.
